Attention of Mr. Child, Experimental Dept. YOUR REF. OUR REF. BR/RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary} 15th November 1938. SUBJECT Dear Mr. Child, I am enclosing the little booklet you left behind, and with regard to the cams and shafts, we have despatched to you tonight 30 shaft assemblies, 40 and 100 batch of cams, for you to check up the hardness. If you can segregate these cams in batches, giving the brinell hardness in which you will accept, and the brinell hardness of those which you reject, and send them back to us at your earliest, this will enable us to immediately get some more shaft assemblies done. Yours faithfully, B. Rushton B. Rushton, Technical Director. | ||
