To By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to EH. ORIGINAL. E2/B13:6:17. 3 X.3010 Re R.R.C.H. Air Inlets. We should be glad to know if you have yet been able to try the new R.R.C.H. air inlets. We are anxious to find out if the gauze intake causes too much drop in pressure. X 3083 Would you please arrange to construct a temporary one, which can probably be rigged up in the shops, with say 75 to 100% more area of gauze, the increased area being obtained by increasing the height. This gauze could be blocked off in stages with a piece of cardboard to see what minimum area we could do with to get the requisite power. Could you get this air inlet tried in advance, as soon as possible, to avoid trouble with the production? URGENT E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} D RECEIVED 15 JUN 1917 | ||
