Hand Brake - Phantom III.

We send herewith N.Sch.4792 which shows modifications to the angles of the levers of the hand brake countershaft on the 3rd crossmember to give a lower leverage during the take-up of the clearance.

As shown this is equivalent to adding .8" to the available travel of the hand lever.

The increase in the travel of the driven lever should be put into the angle behind the vertical centre line. The brake rope must, therefore, be shortened.

This modification should be brought on to experimental cars at the first convenient opportunity.

N.Sch.4792 herewith.
