Bm.16/ML. 22.4.40. Nicholls, Esq., Messrs S. Smith & Sons. Motor accessories, Cricklewood Works, N.W.2. Dear Nicholls, We have now got some quite nice lay-outs for more or less conventional instrument boards but are rather anxious to indulge now in a few flights of fancy, by sketching some more futuristic designs which we may or may not use. In order not to produce something which is not practical, we would like drawings of the most compact internals of instruments which you think would suit our requirements. If you would let us have a print of something like this, and do not be afraid of sending too many, we will carry on with the designs. Incidentally, if you are coming to this part of the world I should like to show you some of the things we are doing. I should also like to discuss with you exactly the quality of instruments which we shall put in our new conventional design and what the resultant price would be. Yours sincerely, | ||
