From the Rolls-Royce experimental archive: a quarter of a million communications from Rolls-Royce, 1906 to 1960's. Documents from the Sir Henry Royce Memorial Foundation (SHRMF).
Comparative report on a Siddeley car, focusing on its engine and suspension.

Identifier  ExFiles\Box 23\4\  Scan067
Date  19th August 1909

The engine was not very compact and caused the bonnet
to be much larger than on the R.R.

The springs appeared to have no flexibility and had
a considerable amount of camber in them, the driver explained
that the springs were for a heavier body than was at the time fixed.

Generally I do not think there was anything in the
Siddeley car of very great importance and it did not compare at all
favourably with the R.R.
