F.{Mr Friese} Hickling, Esq.,
Messrs. Ransome & Marles Ltd.,
Newark-on-Trent.

Dear Hickling,

I have not yet had time to fit the thrust race to my car and Bertelli hasn't furnished the necessary bits, but I'll let you know how it goes soon.

In the meantime, we should like to try one for the pilot bearing of the clutch centre on one of our cars. Herewith drawing E.86186 of the bearing we are using now. Can you send us three such bearings with Oilite cages ? No cover is required to retain the oil as adequate arrangements exist in the crankshaft and its retaining nut.

We shall also be wanting a thrust bearing of which I will send you a drawing in a day or two.

How are the rig tests progressing ?

Yours sincerely,
