To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} X1070 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}18/KW.23.5.35. Lead Bronze Bearings on Customers' Cars. We have got Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} to agree to fitting one dozen sets of lead bronze bearings to customers' cars. The reason for this is to obtain experience in customers' hands before actually standardising these pieces. Paris have been going too slowly for our liking. They have only just recently fitted the second set. As soon as you have 3 sets ready, Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} is going to allot 3 customers' cars. We should recommend the actual fitting should be done by the people who will be responsible for fitting these bearings when they get into production, so that we shall get the added experience in this direction.
