Many thanks for your BY.22/W26.5.34. Although my Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}7/KW24.5.34. was primarily addressed to you with copies to several others, I did not want to infer that it was your own opinion I was referring to. It was merely the opinion we understood was general at W.

Actually it was Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} who mentioned to Eg that he thought we had made a mistake in deciding upon the inside petrol filler.

Perhaps, therefore, you would kindly have a word with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and see whether he shares your view or has any criticisms to offer regarding our opinions expressed in my memo of the 24th instant.
