Re: Bentley - External Petrol Tank Filler.

Referring to Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}7/KW.24.3.34, there has certainly been some misunderstanding in regard to the above matter, as my expressed opinion is the other way, in fact when Mr Geoffrey Smith insisted on an external filler, we put forward the three big disadvantages which you now quote.

As far as I am aware, my opinion has always favoured the internal filler, and the only criticism I have made on same was that when it was fitted, it was necessary to use a sealed cap and fit special piping to give ventilation of the tank external to the body.
