REMARKS COLUMN:
- For 'Exhaust Manifold...': 20 HP. and early 20/25. - Exhaust Manifolds with cooling fins are now available. No failures of this type yet reported. Depot Sheet Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}229. PH.I. - Expansion allowance now increased and malleable castings available. Also sliding joint type of exhaust manifold being tried out for extreme cases. PH.II. - Flange bosses now thickened up to prevent cracking.
- For 'Exhaust Silencer...': All silencers are now being Parkerised and a longer life is expected.
- For 'Exhaust Blows...': This trouble on Ph.II. is caused by the sliding joint not working properly and is cured by modifying the sliding joint and fitting an additional stay to the rear silencer as per Depot Sheets Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}199 and Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}218. Cutout seizure on Ph. II is having attention of Design Dept.
