ENGINE OVER-OILING.
The majority of these are top over-oiling and definitely cured by restricting the oil flow at the valve end of the rockers. See Depot Sheets Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}147., Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}174 and Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}176.

ENGINE - SPRING DRIVE AND GEAR RATTLES.
Early 20 HP. and Ph.I. - These can be cured by fitting cotton duck washers in place of Bakelite. Ph.II. - Latest type low inertia drive with "Window" type pressure plate cures this trouble. See Depot Sheets Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}190 and Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}227.

ENGINE - VALVE SPRINGS BROKEN OR WEAK.
New type valve springs with semi-open ends and circular grinding, are now being used and are a definite improvement.

EXHAUST VALVES STRETCHING.
This trouble is now overcome on Ph.II., by heavier exhaust valves. Depot Sheet Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}238 deals with complaints on earlier cars.
