Salisbury Square,
London, E.C.4.

Dear Sirs,

We duly received yours ref.- WH/AD, of 8th inst.

From your description of the Tungstone Accumulator we gather that it is quite an easy matter to dismantle a cell completely for examination and re-assemble it complete in finished condition. This being so we would like to be afforded the opportunity of examining one cell of your 12 volt Type 12449 L.T. Standard Car Battery of 50 ampere hour capacity and we shall be glad if you will send us one cell for this purpose.

As the construction of your cells is apparently a departure from standard types, we wish to make a thorough examination, to decide whether in our opinion trouble would occur in other ways than purely electrical, before giving further consideration to your accumulator.

It would not be our intention to charge the cell, so it could be returned to you intact if we do not wish to pursue the matter further.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.

(Sgd) J.P.Whitehead.
