Request to experiment with forging thickened flanges on drawn tubes for car work cross members.

I shall be greatly pleased if flanges (thickened) can be forged on drawn tubes suitable for the above. I always wished for them but feared they would get thin or split in the forming process. By all means try, and if possible send here some specimens of the largest and thickest flange that canbe put on, say a 2" or 3" tube of average thickness.
