To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to CD. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} " " EFC. ORIGINAL 4RECEIVED E3/G28/8/20. X.4173 RE DISTRIBUTING BOARD. H.P. CHASSIS. We send you herewith drawing No. Lec.1277 shewing the distributing board arranged for double wiring. There are no fuses between the battery and the dynamo, but the lid{A. J. Lidsey} of the box has been so shaped as to allow of the insertion of a fuse between the dynamo and the charging switch, should experiment shew this to be advisable. Mr. Royce desires you to fix the position of the distributing board on the dash, and arrange the conduits for carrying the wiring. You will no doubt recollect that he wishes the minor conduit which crosses the dash to be on the front side of the dash if possible. If, however, this minor conduit interferes with lifting the rear block of cylinders, then that particular portion of the wiring should be transferred to the rear of the dash. X4163 I will let you know definitely if the design for the switch on the instrument board is to be done at Wittering, at the present moment this is rather likely. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
