Dynamo. Lec.4406-4410-4545.
The following new parts fitted:-
Morganite Experimental grade EG.12 Bushes.

The bushes were right down during the mileage, so that the springs ceased to hold them against the commutator and the dynamo ceased to charge. They were noisy at times, and the commutator became black.

The cover plate worked off during the running owing to looseness of the locking catch. It was carried round by the pump coupling and damaged the brush gear.

Ignition Coils. LOP. D.75260.
Secondary winding with 15,000 turns of 42 SWG. wire.
Ballast Resistance. LOP. D.74201.
24 SWG. "Glowray" Wire.

The ignition coils gave no trouble.

Windscreen Wiper.
Windscreen Wiper overhauled and refitted.

The wiper motor failed at the start of the running due to a faulty soldered connection to one brush holder. Trouble was subsequently experienced due to intermittent break in the circuit between the brushes and the brush holders, preventing the motor starting when first switched on.

Oil leaks from the operating knob on the O.S. were experienced.

Petrol Pumps. LOP. D.75664.
Complete to the above LOP. incorporating:-
Lec.5378 Three Petrol Pumps on Dash.

All three diaphragms failed due to porosity after 9,500 miles.

Special diaphragms with oiled silk centres were used for the last 9,000 miles and were free from leaks.
