COPY OF LETTER TO-
MR. EVERNDEN AT WEST WITTERINGHenry Royce's home town.

WM/ERC.
December 7th 1926.

Dear Mr: Evernden,

Re C.J.Sports 10-EX.

With reference to our conversation on Thursday last, we have now prepared scale Drawing showing the modifications suggested by you and I enclose herewith blue print for your perusal.

We find upon going carefully into this matter this morning, that the windscreen, as you have designed it at present, will be rather on the high side when the hood is down, and it is our opinion, that with a car of this description, the screen should be many inches lower - in fact, a couple of inches above the height of the top of the steering wheel.

You will bear in mind in considering this question, you have lowered the column, also the driving seat, and our suggestion now is that you have two windscreens - one a very shallow one to use when the hood is employed; another to your dimension when the hood is fitted.

As the hood is detachable and presumably will be left in the garage, it is no difficult matter to leave the screen there also; and I should like to have your opinion on this.

As promised, I have looked into the cost, and providing for the following work, will cost approximately £340 nett:-

Alterations to rear portion of body as per drawing.
New detachable hood, without side curtains.
New envelope cover for hood.
New tonneau cover.
New set of splayed wings.
New set of four streamline steps.
New 'V' type front screen.
Refit rear upholstery.
Lower front seat 4" and make all cushions with air bags.
Supply shield to rear extending from the rear number plate to underneath the petrol tank.
Repaint car in same style as at present, with number painted on flat portion at rear.
Fit up spare wheel inside body.
Locker for tools to the rear.

I understand you wish us to supply the shield extending from the rear number plate to underneath the petrol tank, but that you will provide the undershield and carry out your own wiring.

In addition to the above, the following work will be charges as extra:-
