RE 10 EX.

We are having considerable difficulty in getting Barkers to comprehend the true shape of the wings which we want for 10 EX. and it is difficult for us to portray them by means of a drawing. I am therefore going to attempt to take one of the eighth scale models in wood of a 40/50 open car which we have here and convert it into a model of the Blue Car as we propose to make it. This model would also serve to help us and others to get the appearance right.

In order that I may be able to do this would you kindly h have sent to me the following:-

(1) A piece of Basswood big enough to carve the body out of. If you cannot get a single piece I had better have two or more pieces that I can glue together.

(2) About three square feet of sheet aluminium about .036ins. to .048ins. I imagine this would be the most workable thickness to get the wings out of.

As you have a drawing of the car you could cut up the alum. in several suitable pieces so that you could send the lot to me by post. I would not have troubled you but it is impossible to get the material in Chichester and I want to get on with the job at once.

8" wide 24" long 4" deep
