HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} LID{A. J. Lidsey} S/W. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} c. to Wop, C.Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, EY.PN.{Mr Northey} Re- Bonnet Stops. With reference to the correspondence between PN{Mr Northey} and yourselves on this question, we feel that it would be wise, until you are able to produce and standardise on the chassis a suitable bonnet stop of an improved type which is now under discussion, to revert to the fitting of the stops which were originally applied to the 40/50 bonnet immediately prior to our discontinuing them, which move unfortunately has given rise to complaints about damage to paintwork when the bonnet is opened. This will at least prevent people from having the paintwork damaged and give them some form of stop until the new one is ready. I discussed this with C. yesterday, and he agrees to this move. Perhaps you will therefore kindly adopt this immediately as an intermediate step. | ||
