OBJECT OF TEST.
Losses in flat disc type servo.
TESTER.
A.C. Lovesey.
CONDITIONS.
Servo and gearbox run on test bench.
SUMMARY OF TEST.
It will be seen that the reason the servo had not sufficient power on the 'Agreed scheme' was because the end pressure on the servo was not sufficient.
We have now got an 'Agreed scheme' working with the same end pressure as it is proposed to use on R.DMS.80.
This is now working excellently and there is no tendency to stick on.
It has been agreed that it will be necessary to modify the adjustment of the servo clearance so that it can be adjusted finer.
We are now very pleased with the action of the plate type servo.
