1260. Sft{Mr Swift}/EW. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/R.17.2.39. PATTERN - CONVENTIONAL LINE 8 ENGINE. With reference to Sft{Mr Swift}/EW/WP.14.2.39. converting the 1,550 man hours which you mention as the time allowance for the Conventional engine at the rate of 3/- per hour, and adding £30 for material, we get a figure of under £270. Referring, however, to your Sft{Mr Swift}/EW1/BH.21.11.38. we see that you quote £480 for the same job. We have put up the figure of £270 to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, but should like to know which of the two given is more correct. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
