RE. LONDON 20 HP. TRIALS CARS. [struck-through: X4525] X4329
Referring to Bkl/DN/8.5.23 attached. PN.{Mr Northey} is evidently acting on the information contained in R's memo. when he was at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence and after driving the Saloon car. He stated in that memo. that the shock absorbers could be increased 100% stronger.
We believe better results would be obtained by retaining the present springs and making the shock absorbers single stage. As there are no springs available at the present time to increase the strength 100%, this is the only thing which can be done immediately.
We are testing out different settings of shock absorbers on the Goshawk which is running nearly 500 miles per day.
