Although Messrs. R.R.Ltd., are not ordering the following parts, Mr Alfred Woodhead pointed out that he was in a position to produce 400 pairs of rear spring main plates with solid eyes quickly in the event of Messrs.R.R. wishing to replace the split plates on chassis 1 to 400.

Mr Alfred Woodhead confirmed that the production of the solid eye was an easier job for them than attempting to roll the eye for so thick a plate & the reason for this being that their plant which they had now put down enabled them to produce solid eyes with a minimum of trouble.
