Petrol Pumps - the next 100 Wraith chassis.

We wish to save cost and improve the reliability of the H.P. petrol pumps byt fitting the Cast Iron coil housing and Neoprene diaphragms which have been successfully run on 8.B.V. and are also fitted to Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}'s car which has covered 23,000 miles to date.

In order to keep all Wraith and Phantom III H.P. pumps interchangeable we suggest that the existing body is retained so that the pipe connections remain as they are.

This should give us quite a good saving in cost as we have always had difficulty in making the steel coil housings entailing a certain amount of scrap.

The general appearance of the pump is hardly altered owing to the rubber sleeve.

We are issuing a standardisation sheet for this pump and would be glad if Les.{Ivan A. Leslie} would obtain a price from the S.U. Co.
