Petrol Tanks - Filling Vent. We have a case in which the vent pipe from the top of the tank has been bent down to follow the filling pipe. This naturally forms a trap for petrol and in the case in question stops the air escaping causing regurgitation and only partial filling of the tank. Will you please issue instructions to Coach builders that the vent pipe must not in any case drop below the top of the tank. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JBD.{John B.
