Messrs. Joseph Lucas Ltd.,
Great King Street,
BIRMINGHAM.19.

Attention of Mr.R.Bolton.

Dear Sirs,

In reply to yours of the 1st instant, ref: X/13/HA, concerning type SW.4 Windscreen Wipers, you are making for us, we note your comments on the question of links.

Upon investigation, we find that we could incorporate the Primary Link No.733995. With reference to the Main Link, we regret that this cannot be used. As you will see from our print, a further marked up copy of which is enclosed, we require the 3/8" set as shown and also the upsweep of 1.375" to conform with the remainder of our assembly.

If you have no main link exactly to our dimensions you could perhaps, adapt one of your existing links, by cutting and welding, to give us the desired effect on the Windscreen wipers in hand.

Will you please arrange to proceed with the manufacture of these parts at your earliest convenience?

Yours faithfully,
for ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED,

Enclosed: 1 Blue Print No. RB.{R. Bowen}13014.
