( 16 ) DYNAMO LEC 4406 4410 4545. The output has maintained the charge of the Battery. The front ball race occasionally became noisy and required frequent lubrication. The Dynamo brushes at one period were noisy. It failed to charge on one ocassion when first starting up. The field fuse was blown. No reason was found and we had no re-occurrence of the failure. IGNITION COIL LOP D 75260 RR.SCH.870 The coil gave no trouble. DISTRIBUTORS. The Distributors with the improved oiling pad to the cam gave no trouble, gaps of contacts remained consistent. There was no burning of the points. The reduced vertical clearance of the distributor head made the distributor steadier. The "Helaby" Thickal Cables covered with black Varnished Cotton Braiding These cables have not deteriorated but they emmitted an abnoxious odour for two or three weeks. We very much doubt whether an owner would put up with it. FOOT SWITCH LOP DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 695 RR.SCH 660. The Footswitch gave no trouble. HORNS & FITTINGS LOP F 87743. The Horns were not good for traffic, one had to repeatedly slow down before they were heard. The horn switch had several blind positions when the horns would not blow. On one ocassion they failed for an unknown reason. DIRECTION INDICATORS. The Indicators were unsatisfactory in wet weather. They would not operate until thoroughly cleaned. WINDSCREEN WIPERS. The motor worked satisfactorily, and no trouble was experienced. PETROL PUMP LOP D 74510. The Petrol Pump gave trouble after approximately 2.500 miles. The Pump failed to deliver petrol after standing all night. Upon investigation it was found that the diaphrams became stiff and would not function until softened with parrafin. We sent this pump back to the Works and were informed that similar cases had been noted with | ||
