X393 With reference to Barker's drawing, the iron plate sheet looks as if it is necessary, so that the body is a complete structure when it is removed from the chassis. If there is any doubt about this matter, I suggest that two cars be fitted up, one in the old way and one in the newly suggested way, and we shouldget them care-fully compared. F.H.R. encl.
