X7230, To Ey. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} c. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}2/KT.6.9.32. CHROME IRON EXHAUST MANIFOLD. The chrome exhaust manifold fitted to 19-EX and run 15,000 miles, broke a lug off during the latter part of the test, through contraction. This manifold has shrunk more than any previous manifold, the cylinder studs now being at the extreme end of the elongated holes of the holding down lugs at 1, 2, 5, and 6 exhaust ports. We propose to scrap this experiment. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
