Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} X 7230. BY/Cgh.{W Clough}12/G.20.9.32. PHANTOM 11 - EXHAUST SYSTEM. ------------------------- With reference to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}18/E.14.9.32. we are issuing instructions for the following five features to be incorporated in Continental type Phantom 11 chassis to be built in 0.2 series :- (1). 5.25 to 1 Compression ratio. (2). New Camshaft with higher lift and longer duration cams. (3). 19" Road wheels. (4). Semi-expanding carburetter. (5). 12/41 ratio Hypoids. In regard to the non-resonant type of silencer, which Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} agrees to for the Continental type chassis, we would like to know what are the prospects for you being able to issue a standardisation sheet for this type of silencer, together with the correct type of suspension brackets. The O.O. inform us that they must have instructions immediately to clear up 0.2 series, otherwise they will not be able to obtain the material in time. If it is essential for the non-resonant type of silencer to be fitted in conjunction with the other new features on Continental type chassis, then we must know quickly as a scheme drawing will have to be produced, so that detail drawings can be made for issuing to the Works.
