-2- We have run 20-EX with engine mounting solid on four points and all the other available means of stiffening the frame. We find that body mounting still makes a difference to road shocks, but 'jellying' is almost non-existent. We ought to be able to learn something from this. We are sending out our experimental bits of the centre point radiator mounting to Hancock and also running them on the bump. We are getting one or two complaints of the 20 HP. suspension. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} has been putting weaker front springs on Phantom 1 with marked success. We think that the 20 HP. front springs at present are too stiff to give the best riding. Oy. is very anxious to come out and try the left- hand American car. If it is in the same state as it was when it left Derby, we would rather he did not, until Hancock had done all he could to improve the steering etc. Possibly you could wire to say when it will be available for him to try.
