Instruction of a second S.S. Switchbox with extended armature contact and distribution board for an experimental chassis.

SWITCHBOX WITH EXTENDED ARMATURE CONTACT AND DISTRIBUTION BOARD TO SUIT. You have instructed one set of the above for experimental chassis 18-EX. Will you please arrange to instruct a second set for another experimental chassis for 10,000 mile test. In this instance however, we are anxious that the set instructed should be as nearly exactly as possible as proposed for standard, particularly in respect of the relative positions of the field and armature fuses. The points to be considered in this connection are fully dealt with in our report EFCL/AD30.11.29 of which you are receiving a copy. We are also anxious that the switchboxes instructed for use with the distribution board with incorporated auto charge control switch shall fall into line in this respect. Experimentally the existing distribution boards themselves will be wrong as regards the 1 and 2 numbering of the field and armature fuses, but we will arrange to have these correctly wired in spite of the error in that numbering.
