RE. GOSHAWK 7-G-11. X.4086. X.4383

We wired you on Friday night, 4th. inst., as follows :-

"have wired to London as follows: Send Airplaine instone Dynamo complete Goshawk. Wire me when and how despatched. Parsons, Rolls-Royce, Paris".

The collector segments of the Dynamo came adrift through heat no doubt. The writer examined the Dynamo and decided it would be dangerous to the Dynamo and Dynamo Drive to run in the above condition. Therefore Major Northey completed the latter part of his journey without the Dynamo. The latter is being repaired at our Paris Depot.

The Goshawk arrived in Paris yesterday from Boulogne with our Mr. Thomas driving. It is noticed the bottom steering arm on the offside front axle pivot is very slack, bolts and bolt holes badly worn. We have no lever of bolts of that size to replace same, consequently, the bolts have been turned round and re-tightened.

The Cross steering tube has been re-adjusted by us.

The battery has been changed for the C.A.V.Williard.

In case you want to send us another steering arm and bolts will you please mention this memo. in your covering advice as the writer will be away on holiday by the time same arrives.

Will Sales note we wired as under :

"Send Airplaine Instone Dynamo complete Goshawk. If you cannot telephone works wire us when how despatched. Parsons, Rollsroyce, Paris."

Ps.
