X.4383. GOSHAWK II. RR DYNAMO.

It is required to produce a dummy Armature complete with winding in order to compare a new type of coil with the type already instructed for production.

Please receive herewith one blueprint of
D.50821. Dummy Armature. This should be produced in wood, presumably mahogany; the remaining parts are
D.50215. Banding Wire Insulation. 18 off.
D.50216. Slot Lining. 29 "
D.50217. Separator. 29 "
F.6546. Banding Wire Clip. 12 "
Banding Wire. Three bands to be composed of 15 turns of No.25 SWG (.020) Steel Banding Wire. Total length required 36 feet.
Winding. Copper Wire No.19-SWG (.040) Double Cotton Covered, total quantity required 247 feet.
Superfine Dynamo Tape. .005 thick, .250 wide, total quantity required 153 feet.

The Armature Coil should be of the circular type and shaped as the armature is wound, and connections to Commutator made as on the standard Goshawk II Dynamo Armature.
