Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. Dear Sirs, Your Ref. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 4/KT. Experimental Dept. I am in receipt of your letter of the 26th instant. The machinery for breaking up the concrete will be on the Track on Monday, November 6th, but I anticipate that you will be able to do a complete lap, although I cannot guarantee this.
