E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} c. to Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} Y6051 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.8/MA.27.2.35. INSTRUMENTS WITH CONCAVE DIALS. It has been suggested by Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} that now we have a new speedometer which will not magnetically interfere with other instruments as at present, we might profitably retain the central pivotted needle with scale extended round the circle on the thermometer and oil gauge. Symmetry would be preserved as the oil gauge and thermometer would be mounted together, an impossibility, due to interference from the speedometer, on the existing standard instrument patch. This point requires settlement as quickly as possible in view of the tooling required at Messrs. Smiths and we should be glad to have your views on the matter. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
