contd:- -2- easily, to get any sign of jaggering. The reason for this we have attributed to the difference in the friction in the springs. At the present moment we have got G.1. engine ready to go on the test bed in order to compare the crankshaft vibrations with Goshawk 11. We have gone slowly on this job until the stiffer crankshaft was ready for Goshawk-11 so that we could run the comparative tests off all at one time. The stiffer crankshaft should be ready in a week or 10 days. As regards 3.EX car. This car is running satis-factorily. We have fitted the latest 40/50 type pilot jet to enable the hand starting to be done easily. This car is also fitted with thick leaf springs. We would recommend on here, if you wish to test the axle control, that shock absorbers are fitted. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
