Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/AD. April 12th, 1932. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Olley Esq. Cadillac Motor Car Co. Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Dear Oy, Thank you for your letter of March 15th. The radiator cap is really only used as a seal and blows off at 1 to 1 1/2 lbs/sq.in. This, of course, does not increase the oiling point of the system very much, but it does prevent water being thrown out after climbing a long hill when incipient boiling tends to take place. I am getting you a photograph of the joggling ring in action and will try and get one of the crankshaft testing rig when next it is running. Yours sincerely, | ||
