-7- Am/Std.C/1H.23.1.39. We recommend that from above information, sales and Sy. should decide what type of heating is to be developed and that all new Exp. cars should be fitted with the scheme chosen. For present S.V.cars where it is desired to supply a recirculating type heater, we recommend that we use a Smith- Hadees heater modified for separate motor operation, for fitting to dash - for rear compartment the AC heater (modified for separate motor operation) should be used. If it is decided, however, to fit a recirculating type heater to every chassis as part of its standard specification, (i.e. not as an extra), we recommend the use of the M.R. designed heater as being lighter and cheaper than the Smith's unit.
