re Long 12" C.F. Clutch.

Dear Sirs,

We have been further considering the application of the above clutch to the Phantom III, but it may be some time before we come to a definite decision concerning details of the flywheel which will determine the shape and size of the hub of the driven plate, which may limit the inside diameter of the facings.

Please therefore do not proceed with the design of the driven plate until we are able to send you a drawing showing the limiting dimensions. This of course, does not effect our order for the two Long type clutches which you will modify to provide C.F. assistance, but at the moment the matter is not urgent.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
