84094. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}7/MA.22.7.32. STEERING EXPERIMENTS. We wish to carry out some further tests on the Marles steering box. We first wish to set an impression of the car (22-EX) with standard steering. Will you therefore please fit low rating springs to the front of this car. Secondly we shall require an axle off 20-EX to be fitted so as to have ball bearing pivots. Finally we should like the Marles steering fitted with a P.II pendulum lever 7.750 CTS{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} and a P.II steering wheel. We should like this arranged so that the pendulum lever centres are unaltered. A special bracket will be required to fit this steering box in the frame. Also a substantial stay will be required from the steering column to the dash. A try out of this latter could be done on the bump chassis. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
