N angle determined by RJA. geometrically from winding diagram
= 55.5°

B angle required by RJA. tentatively for this machine
= 7.5°

Therefore M angle given to D.O. for armature
= 48°

-----------------

Running check of B angle gave
7.5°

B.P.D.

Commutator end plate slotted by RJA. to provide trial B angles of
3½°, 5½°, 7½°, 9½°, 11½°, 13½°

Resulting maximum amperes
120.5, 122.5, 123, 125, 126, 128.

Angles ultimately arrived at
B = 7½°
C = 123° for major output.
