Dear Sirs, Re: Bentley Chassis 3.B.5.M We wish to confirm matters discussed between yourselves and our Messrs.Dodd and Evernden during their visit to your works on the 7th.inst. (1). The body for 3.B.5. was inspected and its progress noted. We appreciate that certain changes have been made in the original construction, in order that strength might be returned to the constructure and that progress will now go ahead at the maximum rate. We would very much like to have this body delivered to the Works by the end of this month if at all possible, and we confirm that the situation will be considered, and a definate delivery date will be given to us in the course of a few days. (2) We confirm that we left with you PD.277 shewing the battery housed under the offside front seat. This entails moving forward the crossmember immediately behind the gearbox, and rearwards the cross-member over the centre of the frame cross. Continued... | ||
