Rolls Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Mr. Robotham, I am enclosing a sketch of the form of pipe which we have found most suitable for use where we require an air cleaner or hot air supply in conjunction with our carburetter. You will probably find that the actual position of the pipe on the carburetter will make a difference. I find, generally speaking, that the vertical position is the best. You will notice that the diameter of the pipe is increased at the intake of the carburetter, as I have found this important. I have written to the Vokes Air Cleaner people asking them to let me have particulars of a suitable type of air cleaner. I shall be pleased if you will let me know in due course what you think of the pro-position of using such a pipe. Kind regards, Yours sincerely, T C Skinner Encl: | ||
