-2- Remarks on cartridge Type (R.R.). The solder melts before the fuse blows 32 S.W.G. in bakelite body R.R. Type. Fusing current in amperes 28 Oxidising current 19 amperes. Percentage increase to melt the wire over oxidising current is 47.5% R.R. Cartridge Type with 32 S.W.G. Fusing current in amperes 17.5 Oxidising current in amperes 11.5 Hence there is about 43% increase on the oxidising current to melt the wire. Lucas cartridge Type with 32 S.W.G. Fusing current 18 amperes. Oxidising current 12 amperes. Percentage increase over oxidisng current to melt the wire is 50. Owing to the rigid structure of the fuse holder the expansion of the fuse container is limited with a result that it breaks the glass. | ||
