TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Copy to - CJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ORIGINAL DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M31.3.26. EAC.7. REAR AXLE. X7350 Replying to your BY/C6/G26326., we send herewith N. scheme 2171. shewing how we suggest the points raised should be dealt with. We had contemplated doing this scalloping out in the first case, but at the time thought we would try it with plain flanges. It will be seen that moving the bolts through 22½° deals with the bolt difficulty, and the scalloping out deals with the difficulty with the flanges when the levers are transferred to suit the present brake gear. These alterations apply to N. schemes 2149/50., as well as N. scheme 2160. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
