Dear Mr. Whitehead, X 4210

I am much obliged for your letter of the 19th inst., but regret to hear that the C.M.1 Magneto has not yet been tested.

Mr. Conner's chief desire, as expressed to Mr. Clark, was that somebody connected with the works who ran a car might use this Magneto on the car and subject it to a natural running test over a period, under every possible condition.

From your letter I gather that it is not possible for this to be done but I should esteem it as a favour if you could do anything to expediate the testing, because I believe the Magneto embodies a g feature, namely, the shaded pole - which makes it superior to the ordinary run of magnetos, and which I think will result in its adoption by you.

With kind regards,

Yours faithfully,

H. {Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Cobden Turner.
