Dear Sirs,

With regard to the Condenser which you recently returned, we would state that on receipt, we tested same, and are surprised to find that it still gave its full capacity.

In you report you state that the same broke down on 200 volt A.C. and we naturally expected that there would be no insulation resistance between the poles.

On flashing the Condenser, we found that our test was repeated, namely - that the Condenser would still hold a charge on 400 volt A.C.

It is true, that due to dielectric strain a ticking noise was produced in the Condenser after the 200 volt/was passed, and that point this no doubt would be harmful if the Condenser was left on such a voltage for any length of time. We opine that this should not be made a cause of rejection seeing that the voltage on which the Condenser is to be used is so much lower.

We now have pleasure in sending a further Condenser for your examination and trust that same will meet with your approval. We must state, however, that we experience great difficulty in obtaining the flash test when the Condensers are made according to your pecification, and the two which have been submitted to you are the only two out of a dozen made which would stand up to the voltage.

We should be glad to receive your further comments on the five standard Condensers which were submitted, particularly as to the possibility of there acceptance in completion of this order, or part thereof.

Yours faithfully.
