Ethyl Export Corporation,
Abford House,
Wilton Road,
LONDON.S.W.1.

For the attention of Mr. F.R.Banks.

Dear Sirs,

We have completed successfully an Air Ministry 100 hours Type Test on a "Kestrel" engine on a fuel containing tetraethyl lead.

Our engines normally operate satisfactorily on fuels having an Octane rating of at least 76 (Air Ministry fuel test specification D.T.D.134).

We approve the use of tetraethyl lead up to a maximum of 4 cc's. per Imperial gallon in a fuel in order to obtain the above Octane number or higher.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
