Clarifying bore dimensions for the induction passage of a 20/25 HP chassis cylinder block.

With reference to memo. BY/SS.{S. Smith}1/G.3.11.34. Replying to the question in the above-mentioned memo. - (1) The dimension 1.375" is not what we require. (2) The entrance to the Induction passage must obviously line up with the bore of the carburetter. But we do not require the 600 tapered machining. The bore of the carburetter is 1.500" dia. The bore of the ind. pipe is 1.400" dia. Therefore in considering these dimensions the bore should diminish from 1.500" to 1.400", being straight sided in the vertical section as shown on the attached sketch.
