We thank you for your favour of the 5th. inst. in connection with the above, and we have carefully noted your remarks. It is certainly a new idea to us to employ the turned-down ends of the spring leaves to pick up lubricant from the gaiters. Our idea with this device was purely to eliminate the squeaking of ends, and also the digging-in which takes place with ordinary shapes of "points". We have no information of which to base any remarks re damage to gaiters, or type of gaiter, but if you are desirous of experimenting in this way, we shall be pleased to send you some "Resilubo" for the purpose, on receipt of particulars as to the amount required. Yours faithfully, JONAS WOODHEAD & SONS, LTD. | ||
